Humility
"Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you." ~ James 4:10 True humility is not thinking less of ourselves, but thinking of ourselves less, focusing instead on God's infinite majesty and holiness. When we genuinely acknowledge our dependence on Him and our own fallen nature, we recognize our deep need for His grace and forgiveness. This humbling before God means confessing our sins, turning from our self-reliance, and submitting to His divine will. It is in this act of sincere surrender that God, in His perfect timing and wisdom, lifts us up. He promises to honor those who willingly choose a low place in His presence. Therefore, let us choose humility today, trusting that His exaltation is far greater and more enduring than any earthly applause.
